Each vehicle is equipped with built-in intelligence in the form of our state-of-the-art PaxFleetU01 vehicle Electronic Control Module (ECM). With PaxTel’s “exception-based” intelligent technology, users specify reporting criteria under normal operating conditions; the system can alert you when there is an “exception” to these conditions. You will be able to select a reporting schedule that suits your specific needs; the system can provide scheduled, ongoing reports-or there can be a single-event report.
The Data that is available to the user can be classified into three broad categories:
1) Asset utilization
2) Maintenance
3) Driver Performance

TECHNOLOGY
Telematics is the wireless transmission and reception of valuable information to and from a vehicle that can be used by a broad spectrum of various stakeholders.
Some of the many elements monitored by a telematics system are: mileage, speed, locations, braking and acceleration, time of day, trip start/trip end, fuel consumption/use, idle time, emissions and diagnostic trouble codes for maintenance.
PaxTels\’s technology is such that data is acquired based upon the internet’s SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). Each device has its own static IP address. Therefore, each device is a mini web server and a node on the network. In addition, the device is an intelligent device that monitors the information from the vehicle looking for information which the stakeholders have identified as important. The information is then sent directly to the stakeholder via the web. This means there is no DCC, no outside data storage and no outside data processing, which equals lower costs. It also means that the amount of data being sent is significantly less because it is already filtered by the device and encoded into the smallest message possible before being sent-again, lower costs. We estimate that full use of the data from the device would cost $20 to $25 per month. This half or less than half of what other systems cost.
Finally, the benefits of this technology can be applied to one or thousands of vehicles, independently or as a group. The system is flexible and each vehicle can be accessed and configured separately or batched along with other vehicles in its grouping.
The bottom line is the bottom line! This technology when applied to business fleet operations has incredible potential to influence the profitability of the company by creating accountability, easier and better reporting, better asset and employee management, just to name a few. PaxTel Telemetry Systems can offer any company with a fleet or any company that serves a fleet, tremendous advantages in creating new and better ways o do business.
